Greek Orthodox Palestinians just gave us the best Christmas present this year

Beit Jala is only the first sign. Shouldn't Theophilos prepare for retirement in Greece?
"Palestinian members of the Greek Orthodox Church have complained that Theophilos, who replaced Irenaios I after he was deposed by the church council for leasing Palestinian lands to Israel for settlement construction, has also failed to live up to the promises he made when he assumed the position."

Asia's most brutal regime?

The Independent states that Myanmar (which it still calls Burma) is "Asia's most brutal regime". Wouldn't the Israeli or Saudi regimes qualify for the title? The first is an ethnic-cleanser, an occupier, a killer and a thief. The second is a killer of people and public freedoms, a family tyranny ruling in the name of its own interpretation of God.

With all due respect to Suu Kyi's struggle.

Israel is NOT building homes for settlers

Good article and good intentions here :
http://www.informationclearinghouse.info/article26374.htm
... but...

Israel does not build "homes".
Israel destroys homes.
Israel builds houses.
Israel does not build those houses for settlers.
Israel builds them for colonisers.

The Manhattan Islamic Centre and liberal editorial colonialism

We have a debate here. May be I should type: We have a "debate" here. Published by no less prestigious a newspaper than The New York Times. Anything wrong with this picture?

Take a closer look. Yep, Islam is at the Centre of the debate not one contributor is a Muslim. Do not get me wrong, I do repect Greenwald's opinions and read them quite regularly but... what makes The New York Times think that it has enough diversity of opinions when not one representative of the concerned target ("targeted" in this case) group contributes to this debate?
